We should sense its terrestrial nature, and imagine it to be a primitive hut stuck together with mud, firmly set on the ground in order to resist the wind.
The hard-working PGG Development team announced today that their Wing Commander: Privateer Gemini Gold got a major update, and now supports full speech for the Righteous Fire add-on pack. If you haven’t played Privateer, you’re missing out on one of the only space adventure/simulators that was worth giving a damn about in the torrent of mid-90s crapola. PGG is a complete graphical and engine revamp of the original game, and plays spectacularly on modern PCs; the team went through the trouble of rebuilding every ship and texture, as well as port over all of the music and sound.

It’s playable on Mac, Linux, and Windows. And it’s free. Head over to http://privateer.sourceforge.net/ and give it a shot.
