When you take a day off you’re bound to miss a little bit of gaming news, but seriously, a re-imagining of Blaster Master on WiiWare? How long was I asleep?

As if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, the game releases this Monday for 1,000 Wii points, promising the same mix of side-scrolling & overhead shooting action from the original along with tank upgrades.

More reports to follow during the week I imagine, since I’m pretty damn stoked about this. In the meantime you can catch a trailer after the break.

    Well, that was fast. They just released it on the VC not too long ago and now we have the re-imagining on Wiiware. It definitely goes on my “to-buy” list which has, unfortunately, been set back for at least a month or two due to some unexpected expenses on the house/car.
