Yesterday afternoon Siliconera posted word that Deathsmiles on the 360 would be coming to North America via a yet-to-be-revealed publisher. As much as I’d like to link you to the story, the page is down – but all the pages seem to be down so server issues seem likely.

Spencer has a habit of being on the money when it comes to bringing us happy gaming news ahead of schedule, but the idea that I could walk into a North American store and buy a copy of Deathsmiles is too much for my brain to process. I know that sounds horribly fanish and enthusiastic, but if you’re familiar with Cave’s work you’ll forgive me.

So assuming it’s true, who is the mystery publisher? UFO Interactive has handled more than a few shmups in recent memory…
